6 Memory Box Programme
The DFAQ contributes to the Memory Box Program which is in effect world wide.
The purpose of the program is to acknowledge the life of an infant who is stillborn or passes away soon after birth, because every child, regardless of their life span, is precious and loved.
Memory Boxes are individually painted with compassion and care by our members then donated to hospitals to be given to parents who have suffered the loss of an infant. It is our hope that this gift, by holding precious keepsakes such as a lock of hair, hand prints, ID bracelet etc, will offer some comfort to the family concerned.
The DFAQ currently donates Memory Boxes to the Royal Brisbane & Womans Hospital as well as the Wesley, Caboolture and Redcliffe Hospitals.
To date more than 105,000 boxes have been distributed worldwide. To find out more about this program please visit www.memoryboxes.org
