The September 2011 Brush ‘n’ Rush was an opportunity for everyone to do a very innovative workshop with Margaret Kirmann of Frogs Hollow.  Margaret taught the skills needed for “Skinning” which is a way to add texture, colour and movement to your paintings using Impasto Gel Medium.  The effects are beautiful and a lot of fun to do.

This Easter themed design (on 25×30cm canvas) could also decorate a little girl’s bedroom or be painted on a memory box.  The project provided an excellent lesson in floating and fine liner work, and the colour choice was optional.

 Puppy

If time allowed, this gorgeous puppy design (also suitable for both canvas or memory box) could also be done.
